St. Augustine used to pray by the verses of the Bible.

O God, Your eyes are drawn to man’s footsteps

“Does He not see my ways, And count all my steps?” (Job 31;4)
“For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him” (2chr 16:9)

For You are interested in all Your creatures and do not deprive in any of Your great love!

“I drew them with gentle cords, with bands of love” (Hosea 11:4)

“I have loved you with an everlasting love” (Jeremiah 21:2)
